Old Cowtown Museum: Wichita, Kansas
Produced a market study to assess the attendance and revenue potential for the Old Cowtown Museum as part of a multidisciplinary team. Included in this work were market analysis, financial and operations planning, and economic impacts evaluation, as well as recommendations for next steps in strategic planning to enhance Old Cowtown’s position as a unique community cultural and educational resource.
Agrirama: Tifton, Georgia
Conducted a review of the historical market and operating performance of Agrirama to inform planning for the repositioning of this living history site to become Georgia’s state agricultural museum. We evaluated the competitive context for Agrirama regarding location, resident and visitor markets and area attractions. Recommendations for strategically repositioning the facility were made.
Museum of the Cherokee Indian: Cherokee, North Carolina
For this existing museum, ConsultEcon, Inc. prepared market potential and operating plans for several expansion projects. These include a new education wing; major gift shop expansion; and, an expansion of the galleries to accommodate major traveling exhibits. This work is part of a number of assignments for the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians including a nature center study and a land use master plan for a key parcel entering Town.
Plattsburgh Barracks History Center: Plattsburgh, New York
This work evaluated the potential for the development of the historic component of the reuse of Plattsburgh Air Force Base. The project overlooks the site of one of the most important naval battles in American history. The work evaluated the market support and operational profile for the proposed History Center, including living history components.
Tucson Origins Heritage Park: Tucson, Arizona
The Park site is associated with farming and irrigation along the river for a period of 4,000 years. ConsultEcon served as the market and economic consultant as part of a multi-disciplinary master planning team to evaluate the operating potential for the Tucson Origins Heritage Park. Groundbreaking for the Park took place in June 2007.
