Halls of Fame

Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame:  Natchitoches, Louisiana
Prepared a business plan for a new Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.  In this study we worked with the design group and project proponents to evaluate two alternative sites, and advised on project sizing and program trade-offs.  In addition, we participated in evaluating alternatives for facility interpretative focus and interpretive type.  We also evaluated the market and comparable facilities, and formulated an initial project assessment in order to refine project definition and interpretation as the basis for the final business plan.


Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards:  Baltimore, Maryland
The Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum developed a plan to reuse historic Camden Station in Baltimore as a new Maryland Sports Hall of Fame.  ConsultEcon prepared market and operating plans for this facility, which is adjacent to Oriole Park at Camden Yards. 


Georgia Music Hall of Fame:  Macon, Georgia
Conducted a market support and financial feasibility study for the Georgia Music Hall of Fame that was successfully developed in Macon, Georgia.  The work included a market study and proposed operating plan.


NASCAR Hall of Fame:  Kansas City, Missouri
Reviewed the attendance projections prepared to date for a proposed NASCAR Hall of Fame to be located in Kansas City at a mixed use site with racing, entertainment and commercial uses.  We provided ongoing advice to the project proponent during the location selection process. 


Volleyball Hall of Fame:  Holyoke, Massachusetts
The Volleyball Hall of Fame is located in the birthplace of this popular sport.  To evaluate the opportunity to develop a new home for this Hall of Fame, alternative sites were evaluated, and attendance potential estimated.


Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame:  Millington, Tennessee
For the U.S. Baseball Federation, conducted a feasibility evaluation for an Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame and visitor attraction, proposed in Millington, Tennessee.


Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame:  Muskogee, Oklahoma
Examined a hall of fame concept, and market and economic analyses for the proposed Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.  The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame will showcase the unique music heritage of Oklahoma, creating a facility and organization dedicated to the past and future of Oklahoma’s music.
 

National Civil Rights Hall of Fame:  Gary, Indiana
The National Civil Rights Hall of Fame is envisioned as a center for information, documentation and preservation of stories and artifacts of the Civil Rights Movement.  A feasibility study including market potential and operating plan was prepared.  The economic and fiscal impacts of the project were estimated.


World Figure Skating Museum and Hall of Fame:  Colorado Springs, Colorado
This project reviewed the potential for a new museum as well as the feasibility of traveling exhibits.  We reviewed other sports halls of fame and developed market support studies for this project.
