Elena Kazlas, Principal
Ms. Kazlas has over fifteen years of international experience in supporting new and existing not-for-profit and for-profit public visitor attractions achieve their development goals. Ms. Kazlas’ expertise encompasses market analysis, business planning, earned revenue strategies, operating plans, project viability, economic impact analysis, pre-opening cost analysis, development cost analysis, site analysis and strategic planning for a broad range of projects including aquariums, museums, science centers and other attractions. She has extensive experience in working with design and planning teams as part of iterative processes to yield optimal development strategies for attractions and other real estate. Prior to joining ConsultEcon, Ms. Kazlas worked for an international development company and was part of the project management team for the design, construction and start-up of the Oceanário de Lisboa in Portugal. Ms Kazlas' international attraction development experience has included work in such destinations as Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, France, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, United Kingdom, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Egypt, Russia, Czech Republic, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Norway, Denmark, and Cape Verde. Prior to her work with public attractions, Ms. Kazlas worked for the United Nations Development Programme in Vilnius, Lithuania in socio-economic development.
